New dental plan options offer increased flexibility and savings

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) has introduced a new portfolio of standard dental preferred provider option (PPO) benefit plan designs — BlueCare Dental FreedomSM and BlueCare Dental ChoiceSM. *  The focus is simple: offer employers multiple dental plan designs that allow them greater flexibility to choose a design that best suits their needs at a reasonable price.

Key advantages of the new BlueCare Dental PPO plans include:

  • Choice of coinsurance options 
  • Choice of deductibles 
  • Choice of annual maximums 
  • No benefit waiting period 
  • Choice of endodontic, periodontic and oral surgery to be covered as either a basic or major service 
  • Choice of out-of-network reimbursement level at the schedule of maximum allowance or usual and customary at the 90th percentile 
  • Coverage for orthodontia services now offered for both children and adults 
  • Coverage can be sold on a stand-alone basis
