Whether you’re just graduating from college and are no longer covered under your parent’s plan or you’re waiting for your employer’s group coverage to begin, you can rest assured that you’ll be covered in the event of an illness or injury thanks to Blue Transitions.

Blue Transitions is a temporary insurance plan from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma and is designed to help protect your health care needs and financial security while you wait for permanent coverage to begin.

Plan options provide you with the freedom to choose between various benefit periods up to six months, depending on how long you’ll need coverage. If your wait becomes longer than expected, that’s okay because you may be able to re-apply for a second benefit period. You could even take advantage of Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s permanent, individual plans and transfer your un-earned premiums to a permanent, individual plan.
