Doctors’ Week to bring free health screenings to Tulsa July 13, Oklahoma City July 15

Health fairs with free health screenings, resources and information will be held in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa this week in conjunction with Doctors' Week – a week-long series of health and wellness events and television coverage sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, KOTV The News on Six and KWTV News 9. 

Doctors’ Week Health Fairs – event details

  • Wednesday, July 13, 3 – 8 p.m.
    Tulsa Event Center, 2625 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa
  • Friday, July 15, 3 – 8 p.m.
    OmniPlex, 2100 NE 52nd St., Oklahoma City

Oklahoma children and adults are encouraged to take advantage of free health services and information available at the health fairs, including:

Outside attractions
  • Mobile Health Screening Unit (with free screenings including blood sugar, glaucoma, hearing, eyesight and bone density) 
  • Caring Van – free immunizations for children
  • Vehicle rollover simulator (provided by the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department and the Tulsa Police Department)
  • Inside attractions
  • Cholesterol screenings/wellness profile and blood pressure check (from Pfizer)
  • SafeMeds prescription drug review program with registered pharmacist
  • Skin cancer screenings (DermaScan) with physician consultation (Southcrest)
  • Dental screenings for children
  • Asthma screenings (Tulsa only)
  • Drawing for free child bicycle helmets and safety information from the
    Safe Kids Coalition
