It's not too late to nominate a person or organization that has made a difference in the health of Oklahomans. The ‘Champions of Health’ awards nomination deadline has been extended to Friday, Aug. 25.
The Champions of Health awards recognize those working to improve the health of their communities, facilitating partnerships to improve Oklahoma’s health status.
A panel of health care industry professionals will select winners in 10 categories: Champion of the Uninsured, Education and Awareness Champion, Champion of Children’s Health, Champion of Public Health, Minority Health Champion, Professional Health Care Champion, Public Service Health Champion, Champion of Senior Health, Health and Medical Media Champion and Corporate Health Champion.
Winners in each category will receive a $1,000 contribution to their organization or program. All entries will be considered for the top honor, the Champion of Oklahoma Health award, recognizing the person or group with the most effective and creative approach to improving Oklahoma’s health. The Champion of Oklahoma Health award includes a $2,500 contribution.
Winners will be recognized at the Champions of Health awards banquet on Oct. 30, at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, Oklahoma City.

If entries are sent via e-mail, please be sure to include all information requested on the nomination form. All nominations must be postmarked or sent by Friday, Aug. 25. There is no cost to enter.
