Health insurance workshop Thursday, Jan. 4
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma producers, small business owners and employees who may quality for a state health insurance premium assistance program are encouraged to attend a workshop sponsored by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA), from 6:30-9 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 4, at the Rogers State University Innovation Center, 2000 Universtiy Drive, Claremore. Cost is $15 per person.

OHCA's Melissa Pratt will answer questions about the Oklahoma Employer/Employee Partnership for Insurance Coverage (O-EPIC), a state-subsidized insurance assistance program for employers with 50 or fewer employees. The program offers a state subsidy to help eligible businesses provide group health coverage to their employees. Through the O-EPIC program, employers pay 25 percent of health premiums, the state pays 60 percent and the employees pick up the remaining 15 percent of the cost.
