Employees promoted at Blue Cross and Blue Shield

Greg Burn has been promoted to division vice president, marketing and sales. He is responsible for all group and individual marketing activities statewide. Burn has served in numerous marketing management roles since joining the company in March 1981 as a market research analyst. Most recently, Burn served as vice president of marketing support. He earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Eckerd College (Florida) and Master’s degree, as well as doctorial work in economics from Oklahoma State University. Burn holds the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation.

Bruce Burns has been promoted to director of marketing support. He will be responsible for the enrollment services, contracts, marketing information technology, producer licensing and local product development functions. Burns joined the company in April 1980 as a budget accountant and has also worked in marketing services, planning and product development and most recently investments. He received both his Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degrees in economics from Kansas State University.

Cyd Scott was promoted to senior director/chief financial officer at GHS Property and Casualty. Scott is responsible for the accounting, billing, claims, information technology and actuarial functions along with occupational accident underwriting and administration. Scott joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma in 1989. Since 2002, Scott has served as chief financial officer of Member Service Life Insurance Company. She earned her Bachelor of Science in business degree and majored in accounting at Oklahoma State University and is a certified public accountant.  

James Beth was promoted to director of external operations at GHS Property and Casualty. Beth is responsible for all marketing activity in the occupational accident and personal lines of business. He also will manage product development and compliance functions. Beth joined GHS in November 1997 as a product development specialist. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma and holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
