Caring Van / MHSU

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma is proud of its Oklahoma roots. The company continually strengthens its ties to the state through initiatives to improve local communities.

Oklahoma Caring Van Program
The Oklahoma Caring Van Program provides free immunizations to children in child care centers and homes, schools and public locations throughout the state.

The program is the primary focus of The Oklahoma Caring Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization established in 1994 to improve the health of Oklahoma children through vaccinations and access to basic health care.

Oklahoma Mobile Health Screening Unit (MHSU)
The MHSU provides a variety of screenings — including vision, hearing, glaucoma, blood sugar and blood pressure screenings — to communities throughout the state. Since its launch five years ago, the MHSU has made hundreds of visits to Oklahoma communities and has performed tens of thousands of health screenings. Click here for the upcoming MHSU schedule.

The Mobile Health Screening Unit is a joint project of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma and the 246 Oklahoma Lions Clubs, bringing valuable health information to all parts of Oklahoma.
