The Oklahoma Caring Vans provide free immunizations to children across the state of Oklahoma. Thousands of children have been immunized since the program began. A licensed nurse from the city/county Health Department administers the immunizations. Patient information is entered into OSIIS (Oklahoma State Immunization Information System) so children’s immunization records are readily available. by the Oklahoma Caring Vans.

  • More than one in three Oklahoma children under the age of two are not fully immunized.
  • Oklahoma is ranked 44th in the nation.
  • Children need 75% of vaccinations by age 2.
  • Immunization prevents or minimizes 11 serious infections that can cause disease, disability and death.
