The master of ceremonies will be 2006 Miss America Jennifer Berry. Former U.S. Congressman and University of Oklahoma football standout J.C.  J.C. Watts is a contributor to CNN and was keynote speaker at the 2007 Henry P. Iba Citizen Athlete Awards, honoring positive role models in the sports community. Former U.S. Congressman Watts served from 1995 to 2001. He currently heads J.C. Watts Companies, a consultant in business strategies. In 1996, he delivered a powerful, inspiring speech at the Republican National Convention. He served as an honorary co-chairman at the 2000 Republican National Convention. A graduate of Eufaula High School, he earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma. As quarterback for the Sooners, he led the football team to two consecutive Big Eight championships and Orange Bowl victories. 

Jennifer Berry was crowned Miss America 2006. A graduate of Jenks High School, she is majoring in elementary education at the University of Oklahoma with a goal of becoming an school teacher. She is actively involved in campaigns against drunk driving and underage drinking and is an avid volunteer and spokesperson for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). A presenter at the 2006 Country Music Awards, Berry is a member of the Miss America Organization, one of the nation’s leading achievement programs and the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women.
