May. 21, 2018

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) is pleased to announce that we have signed new, three-year contracts with Saint Francis Health System (Saint Francis) and Warren Clinic. Saint Francis and Warren Clinic will continue to be a part of our Blue TraditionalSM, Blue Choice PPOSM, Blue Preferred PPOSM, Blue Advantage PPOSM, BlueLincs HMO, BlueOptions Select PPOSM and BlueOptions PPOSM networks. Saint Francis and Warren Clinic will no longer be part of our Blue Plan65 SelectSM network in Vinita after Dec. 31, 2018. Members in the Blue Plan65 SelectSM network will be receiving more information.

As a reminder, the doctors that staff the emergency departments of Saint Francis hospitals in Tulsa and Vinita are employed by Emergency Medical Physicians of Tulsa County (EMP) which does not participate in our networks. While members have coverage for emergency care at Saint Francis in Tulsa and Vinita, they may pay significantly more out-of-pocket for it. This is because the doctors are not in our networks so members will be responsible for any amount charged over our negotiated in-network rates. Additionally, in most cases, payments for these services will be made directly to members. If members receive payment, it will be members’ responsibility to pay EMP.

The doctors in the emergency departments at all other Saint Francis and Warren Clinic facilities, except Saint Francis Tulsa and Saint Francis Vinita, are in our networks.

We are here to help members find in-network doctors and hospitals. Members can find in-network emergency departments using our Provider Finder®. They can register for or log in to Blue Access for MembersSM for personalized search results based on their health plan and network. Members can also call the customer service number on their ID card for assistance.
