For more than 80 years, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) has remained committed to improving the health and wellness of not just our members, but all Oklahomans. Our company continues to introduce valuable community-minded initiatives and activities that wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and generosity of our employees.
Giving and volunteerism are in our company’s DNA. Despite a variety of challenges that restricted volunteer opportunities in 2020, our employees still found ways to lend a hand to those who needed it most.
More than 340 of our employees participated in 63 company volunteer activities last year, logging 7,127 hours of service to 198 nonprofit partners across the state through our Blue Corps employee volunteer program.
In addition to their time, employees also donated to organizations through our annual employee giving campaign, participated in donation drives and supported entrepreneurship programs.
As a company, BCBSOK invests in community organizations that have a positive impact on the health and wellness of our state. I’m honored to serve as the president of a company that supports our neighbors and communities each year.
Like all our dedicated Oklahoma team members, I am Proud to Be Blue. I look forward to working together to ensure our state is a healthy place to live and work for generations to come.
Joseph R. Cunningham, M.D.
