Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma Launches Updated App with Convenient Access to Benefits Information
App Allows for Mobile Access to Claims, Benefits Coverage, Deductible Amounts and Member ID Cards
Tulsa, OK — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) makes health care benefits information available at members' fingertips with its newly redesigned app 1. Available in both English and Spanish, the updated app provides access to important benefit information such as claims status and co-pay, deductible and out-of-pocket amounts.
When logged into the redesigned BCBSOK app, members can also locate in-network doctors, compare physician and hospital quality and estimate costs of procedures, tests and treatments.
"We empower our members by providing them with the information they need to make important decisions concerning the health of their families," said Ted Haynes, President, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma. "We understand navigating the health care environment can be daunting at times, and we want to help make the process as easy as possible."
Additional app features include:
- View coverage information including medical and prescription copays, deductible, and out-of-pocket amounts;
- Email ID cards directly to physicians to aid in pre-authorization and registration for doctor's visits;
- Locate in-network physicians and hospitals;
- Save ID cards in Apple Wallet for on-the-go access; and
- View patient feedback and submit physician reviews.
In addition, if the member's phone settings are set to Spanish, the app will display in Spanish for that user.
"Providing the right information at the right time throughout the customer's journey is critical," said Haynes. "From enrollment to claims, the BCBSOK app gives our members access anytime and anywhere to the information they need to manage their health and wellness."
The BCBSOK app is free and currently available for download on both Apple and Android devices. To download, text BCBSOK App to 336332.
