Bilingual Health Insurance Education and Assistance to be offered at Festival Americas event
Tulsa, OK – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma's (BCBSOK) Mobile Assistance Center (MAC) will participate in the 'Festival Americas' event on Saturday, Aug. 27 at Guthrie Green (111 E. MB Brady St.) in Tulsa. The event, which will be held from 4 to 10 p.m., will feature Latin music, food, vendors and an outdoor art market. BCBSOK is a sponsor of the 2016 'Festival Americas Summer Series' events, presented by La Semana del Sur newspaper and Guthrie Green.
BCBSOK customer advocates and the MAC's community outreach specialists will be available to answer questions about health insurance, explain the requirements of the Affordable Care Act and enrollment process, as well as assist current members who may have questions about their coverage. BCBSOK's Latino community outreach specialist will be on hand to provide bilingual support, along with dual-language brochures and additional resources, at the free event.
"The Affordable Care Act provides Oklahomans with opportunities to compare and buy health insurance in a new way," said BCBSOK President Ted Haynes. "Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma wants to help people understand their options so they have an opportunity to choose a plan that's right for them."
