2021 Changes to Your Pharmacy Network

TULSA, Oklahoma — You may have recently received a letter from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) stating that your pharmacy will no longer participate in our pharmacy networks as of Jan. 1, 2021. We understand that these letters may have caused some confusion.

What’s happening

Your pharmacy is in-network through the end of 2020, but they have yet to sign a new in-network preferred pharmacy agreement for 2021.

Why it matters

If the pharmacy you use is non-preferred or out-of-network in 2021, you may continue filling prescriptions at that pharmacy, up to a 30-day supply, but you will pay a higher co-pay subject to your benefits.

Benefits of a preferred pharmacy

Preferred pharmacies allow you to pay the lowest price for medication prescriptions. They also enable you to get a 30-day or 90-day supply of medications.

Help our pharmacies

We understand the value of independent pharmacies in our communities. We want to ensure each pharmacy in Oklahoma has the opportunity to join the preferred network for 2021.

Make sure your pharmacy is a preferred pharmacy. If they are not, they are able to join the network for 2021 by emailing PrimeInquiries@express-scripts.com to request and complete a pharmacy participation agreement.

What you need to do

Log in to your Blue Access for Members account and click on “Prescription Drugs” under Quick Links after January 1, 2021, to find all preferred and in-network pharmacies.
