Champions of Health Gala Returns: Honoring Oklahoma Changemakers as Tickets and Sponsorships Open

Ashley Judd Joins as guest speaker for annual event benefiting The Oklahoma Caring Foundation

TULSA, Oklahoma — For more than two decades, the Champions of Health Gala has recognized the nonprofit organizations and community leaders working to improve the health and well-being of Oklahomans.

Benefiting The Oklahoma Caring Foundation, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, Champions of Health honors organizations that are expanding access to care, addressing health disparities and creating innovative solutions to some of the state's most pressing health challenges.

The annual event brings together business leaders, health advocates, philanthropists and community partners to celebrate the people and programs making Oklahoma a healthier place to live, work and raise a family.

"Champions of Health is about recognizing the organizations that are creating lasting change in communities across our state," said Brooke Townsend, OCF Executive Director. "Every year, we are inspired by nonprofits that are meeting people where they are, addressing critical health needs and helping build a healthier future for all Oklahomans."

This year's gala will feature a fireside chat with actress, humanitarian and global public health advocate Ashley Judd, moderated by News On 6 anchor LeAnne Taylor.

A Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated actress, Judd has spent decades advocating for public health, human rights and the well-being of women and children around the world. As a United Nations Population Fund Goodwill Ambassador, she has worked in more than 20 countries to help improve the health and safety of vulnerable populations. Judd is a passionate advocate for mental health, using her personal journey of resilience and healing to help reduce stigma.

Proceeds from the gala support The Oklahoma Caring Foundation's Caring Van program, which provides free immunizations and preventive health services to children and families across Oklahoma. Through its programs and partnerships, the foundation works to improve access to care and support healthier communities statewide.

Every ticket purchased and sponsorship secured helps advance that mission, ensuring more Oklahoma families have access to essential health services and preventive care.
