BCBSOK announces preferred laboratories

Effective November 1, 2011, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) will have two preferred outpatient clinical reference laboratories. Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma and Regional Medical Laboratories will be the preferred statewide providers for outpatient clinical laboratory services for BCBSOK. Both laboratories have multiple locations statewide, full-time pathologists on staff and convenient technology that provides access to prompt lab results.

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) – DLO has a network of over 55 patient service centers and contracted draw sites located throughout Oklahoma. Search for a DLO patient service center in your area . DLO presents a wide variety of high-quality, cutting-edge testing and services. Through its affiliation with Quest Diagnostics, DLO also offers fast, free and convenient online bill pay. DLO also has an experienced and expansive courier network that allows for fast turnaround times. Through innovative information technology systems such as Care360™, physicians can securely order and access lab results from any internet connection, including smart phones and tablet PC’s. Regional Medical Laboratories, Inc. (RML) – RML has a network of 26 patient service centers and contracted draw sites located throughout Oklahoma, which it continues to expand and strategically place. As a reminder, pass through billing is not permitted by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, and physicians should only bill for services that they performed themselves.
