Be Smart - Don't Start Anti-Tobacco Day Welcomes Students to Science Museum Oklahoma on May 10

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) is proud to sponsor “Be Smart-Don’t Start Anti-Tobacco Day” from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10 at Science Museum Oklahoma. More than 1,000 students from 17 schools across the state are expected to attend this event. Schools and museum guests will receive free admission, courtesy of BCBSOK.

Be Smart-Don’t Start Anti-Tobacco Day will feature fun, hands-on educational activities emphasizing the dangers of tobacco use. BCBSOK’s mascot, Blaze the Braggin’ Blue Dragon®, will be on hand to interact with students and attending children will be given a commemorative backpack from Blaze.

BCBSOK's Mobile Assistance Center will also be present with trivia and prizes for students, along with giveaways and games from program partners.

The annual Be Smart- Don't Start Anti-Tobacco Day is an initiative to help teach school-aged children the dangers of tobacco use, and how to make smart choices to live a healthy life. A special music video and theme song can be found here.
