New Comp Schedule and Bonus Introduced for Individual ACA Market

What’s new. BCBSOK is changing its compensation schedule for individual major medical qualified health plans (QHPs) and adding a new bonus.

Big comp changes:

  1. We’re moving from a three-tier production model to two tiers. All Tier 3 producers will jump up to Tier 2.
  2. Tier 1 producers will see an increase from 2.5% to 3.5% for renewal commissions.
  3. Beginning in January, all tiers will be paid on current premium, instead of initial premium.

The new compensation schedule will be on Blue Access for Producers soon. When it’s live, we’ll notify you.

New bonus program. We’re offering a special bonus incentive for new individual medical QHP sales. You’ll need to sell a minimum of 50 new policies with effective dates between Nov. 1, 2021, and Feb. 1, 2022, to be eligible. You can earn up to $50,000.
