Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma offers employer groups of all sizes a virtual care solution. Virtual care enables members to visit with a board-certified primary care physician, doctor or therapist by phone, online video or mobile app for non-emergency medical and behavioral health needs.

Depending on your plan, MD Live or Teladoc s doctors and therapists can treat many non-emergency issues, like those listed below. Plus, virtual care may cost less than going to an urgent care clinic or the emergency room.

Empowering Employee

  • Independently contracted, board-certified doctors are available 24/7/365 or by appointment. Board-certified therapists are available 7 days a week by appointment.
  • Consultants can be done at times that fit the schedules of members. This reduces their need to miss work, use paid time off or visit the ER.
  • Services are available in both English and Spanish with translation services available. for other languages.
  • Prescriptions can be sent to a nearby pharmacy when needed.
  • Employees have seamless access to the Virtual Visits portal from Blue Access for Members℠.

Virtual Primary Care, available for select employer groups, gives members easy and convenient access to cost-effective primary care. Getting annual checkups, learning how to manage a health condition, and being empowered to make better health decisions can help your client's employees live healthier and longer lives.

With Virtual Primary Care, Employees Can:

  • Choose a primary care provider who takes the time to get to know them, their health history and needs.
  • Schedule annual checkups and ongoing care when it's convenient.
  • Get referrals to in-person and in-network specialists, ongoing support from a dedicated care team and a custom care plan with clear next steps.

Virtual Visits may be limited by plan. For providers licensed in New Mexico and the District of Columbia, Urgent Care service is limited to interactive online video; Behavioral Health service requires video for the initial visit but may use video or audio for follow-up visits, based on the provider’s clinical judgment. Behavioral Health is not available on all plans.
