Review Blue Access for Employers Account Information – 2026 Data Collections Prep

Nov. 5, 2025

(Applies to fully insured and ASO groups*)

Background: Multiple Regulatory Compliance data collection efforts for 2026 are around the corner. BAE℠ contact information serves as our lifeline for successful data collections outreach efforts.

Why it Matters: Accurate emails, mailing addresses and phone numbers help us streamline communications and more efficiently obtain the necessary information to help us support groups with their regulatory obligations like those outlined.

These collections are for:

  • Average Employee Count – The Affordable Care Act, which sets Medical Loss Ratio standards for health insurers from small, mid-market, large groups. We must report annually on whether the small group or large group market coverage we offer meets MLR standards. These standards require us to report annually whether coverage is in the small or large group market segments of a state.
  • Medicare Secondary Payer – The total number of employees for small and mid-market groups, so we can report it to CMS. This information is used when an individual is covered by both Medicare and an employer’s group health plan.
  • Prescription Drug Data Collection (RxDC) – Average Monthly Premium data from fully insured groups for submission to CMS.
  • Statement of Benefits and Coverage Monitoring Performance – monitors a group health plan's distribution of the Summary of Benefits and Coverage to the plan's participants and beneficiaries.

Action Required: To help streamline efforts, ask your groups to update their contact information in the BAE portal before the end of the year.

Producers and/or brokers can update their employer groups’ information in BAE by following these instructions:

  • Login to BAE
  • Click the Blue Access for Employers logo
  • From the Broker Search page, navigate to the Account Home page
  • Go to Account Summary > Account Details and select Edit on the BAE Contact section
  • Complete the BAE Contact Person information
  • Understand this update will downgrade the current the Delegated Administrator on their next login if it’s a different person
  • Understand the new BAE Contact Person will need to register as the Delegated Administrator or accept the Upgrade to Delegated Administrator prompt on their next login

What’s Next: In January 2026, we will conduct an email outreach campaign to employer group contacts asking them to review and/or update their contact information in BAE.

If you have any questions, please contact your Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma representative.
