Our international health insurance partner, GeoBlue, has been rebranded as Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions. The transition from GeoBlue to BCBS Global Solutions continues through the end of 2027, when the GeoBrand will be fully retired.
Key points to know
- Member coverage and benefits remain unchanged.
- Access to care will not be disrupted.
- Member ID cards will be updated with the new brand name during the phased rollout. Some members may still present a GeoBlue branded ID card during the transition.
Members with BCBS Global Solutions or other BCBS Global plans are out-of-area members. Follow these processes, as you would for BlueCard® Program members:
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits by contacting the number on the back of the ID card or via the eligibility and verification process you use for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma.
- Submit claims according to the instructions on the back of the member’s ID card.
- Do not collect any payment from the member beyond their cost-share amounts (deductible, coinsurance and copayment).
