Drive In-Network Dental Utilization: We Have New Tools for Finding Care

We’ve enhanced the "find care" search in Blue Access for Members^SM to make it easier for members to find dental providers, understand their coverage and choose in-network care.

What’s new for members:

• Simpler provider search: Search by ZIP code, city or current location from one place
• Better provider details: See network status, distance, ratings and if providers are accepting new patients
• Improved map experience: Explore nearby options with an interactive map
• Smarter filters: Begin a search and then adjust filters without starting over
• Sort options: View providers by distance, name, specialty or gender
• Cleaner layout: Scan and compare options more easily
• Dental Wellness Center access: Direct homepage link to the Dental Wellness Center

New network visibility tools:

• When viewing claims, green badge = in-network, red badge = out-of-network
• Clear explanations about out-of-network costs
• Easy-to-spot network status across claims

Why it matters:

• Helps members clearly understand cost differences
• Encourages in-network provider selection
• Supports better upfront conversations about care and cost

What you need to do:

• Reinforce the value of in-network care with clients
• Point members to log into their member account to search for providers
• Use these tools to support conversations about costs
