  • Evidence-based cancer imaging for individuals with increased risk of cancer

High-deductible health plan members must meet their deductible first unless it’s preventive.

What’s the impact to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma plans?

  • Clinical genetic testing for inherited gene mutation will be covered without cost sharing for members with a personal or family history of cancer.
  • Various evidence-based cancer screenings will be covered without cost sharing for members with an increased risk of cancer, as recommended by a provider.
  • HDHP members must meet their deductible first (unless the testing or screening is a preventive service).

When does this go into effect? Upon renewal on or after Nov. 1, 2025.
