FAQs

Q: When do commission checks get deposited?
A: Commissions are paid monthly after a member’s premium payment has been applied to their account and the Paid to Date is advanced to the next month. Commissions calculated on the last day of the month are released between the 16th and the 19th of the following period. To ensure timely payments, EFT direct deposit is required. If you choose to be paid by check, you will receive your commissions monthly. Commission statements are released first, then it can take up to two business days for the commission to be deposited into the producer’s account. The timeframe is based on how quickly the producer’s bank releases the funds.

Reminder: Commission statements are not available for sub-producers. Any questions should be directed to their agency.

Q: I’m a sub-producer and have questions; who do I call?
A: Sub-producers must work with their agency for all commission questions. The Producer Service Center is not authorized to review commission questions with sub-producers. This is because Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana does not have a Producer Agreement with sub-producers directly.

Q: Can the Producer Service Center help me audit my book of business?
A: The Producer Service Center does not have the ability to audit entire books of business. If you need a refresher on how to audit your book of business, please reach out to your Producer Sales Consultant.
