In Case You Missed It: BlueCare Dental Classic & Vision Plans Ending in 2026

The Coverage Plus Central Portal will sunset on Dec. 31, 2025. As a result, all BlueCare℠ Dental Classic and BlueCare℠ Vision plans administered through the portal will not renew in 2026.

Below is a quick recap of which plans are ending, how members are impacted and which actions (if any) are needed.

Plans ending on Jan. 1, 2026:

  • BlueCare Dental Classic Premier℠
  • BlueCare Dental Classic Basic℠
  • BlueCare Vision Basic℠
  • BlueCare Vision Premier℠
  • BlueCare Vision Standard℠
Current coverage What this means to members in 2026
Dental Classic Standard or Premier Plan with MBI (Medicare Beneficiary Identifier – typically applies to Medicare members aged 65+)

Automatic crosswalk to Blue Dental Plus Standard or Premier plans.

  • Dental Classic Standard members move to a Blue Dental Plus Standard plan

  • Dental Classic Premier members move to a Blue Dental Plus Premier plan
Dental Classic Standard or Premier plan without MBI (typically applies to members under 65) No crosswalk. The member must select a new plan for 2026.
Dental Classic Basic plan
All BlueCare Vision plans 

More on the member crosswalk to Blue Dental Plus:

  • These members will receive a Blue Dental Plus welcome guide and member ID card once transitioned.
  • The provider network remains the same.
  • Plan benefits will not change. Coverage Plus and Blue Dental Plus benefits are nearly identical.
  • Crosswalked members will not receive a Blue Dental Plus rate renewal letter, as these are only sent to current Blue Dental Plus members.
  • Note: Blue Dental Plus is a stand-alone dental product only available to Medicare-eligible individuals.
